i9000 no samsung modem[ANSWERED]

Have i9000 with NO IMEI number ( UNKNOWN) and if I try and repair IMEI using IMEI from phone sticker I get the first part done then phone reboots and no matter what I do it wont see the SAMSUNG MODEM so eventually times out.
Ive tried this with just the dongle and Z3X box and also solo with the Z3X box but it always stops trying to find Samsung Modem after phone reboots.
My Z3X box is on com 3 so I choose that. Ive even used the patched Z3X I9000 modem (and tried without it).

Any Ideas.
