YAL-AL50 Stuck in Com 1.0 [fixed]

--------- 2020-07-18 16:29:50 ---------
SigmaKey 2.37.00b3 HiSi: Software testpoint On.../Off
HUAWEI USB COM 1.0 (COM49), Provider: HUAWEI Incorporated, Driver ver.: 2.0.6.725, Date: 11/6/2015, USB\VID_12D1&PID_3609&REV_0100
HiSilicon: Kirin 980
Sending boot....Error writing to serial port

I was trying to remove Huawei ID using hardware testpoint because software testpoint method was causing "verification error" message. Now my phone is stuck in testpoint mode.

battery was 100% charged before it got stuck, and it is connected to phone before starting the procedure on sigma

STEP 3: Software testpoint - OFF
After completing all service operations, you need to set the testpoint OFF. This operation revives the phone from "HUAWEI USB COM 1.0" state and the device powers On normally.

CASE A: if you used the same firmware version for Software testpoint:
  • Press "Software Testpoint ON.../OFF" button - it will power on normally. If you used the same firmware version - no need to reflash the phone.
CASE B: if you used higher firmware version for Software testpoint:
  • If update.app file used for software testpoint wasn't much different from the phone's firmware version, then the phone has to power On normally
  • If the phone did not power ON normally, please reflash the device with full firmware (all parts)
You perform this operation at your own risk.

I used the same app version that I flashed on the phone, and i cannot flash the phone since it cannot get out of com 1.0, and I cannot flash a board firmware since it cannot connect to com 1.0

1. Load fastboot
2. Reflash the phone with suitable flash file in fastboot mode (use all files for flashing)

Maybe you are missing my point, the phone is not connecting to com 1.0, but it connected fine before flashing the app filefor "software testpoint procedure". After flashing app file, it then got stuck in com 1.0.

So, as you suggested to do Load fastboot, the result is.

We have analized your logs.

We think that the phone has some kind of hardware damages.

"Sending boot....Error writing to serial port"
is a totally safe operation.
If you think that it is a software issue, try flashing different board flash files.

We have analyzed the firmware file of YAL-AL50.
We have a confirmation that this phone runs on Kirin 810 CPU.
Sigma supports Kirin 810 starting from Sigma 2.38.03 version.

How to recover this device:
  • Charge the battery and connect it to the board.
  • Load fastboot.
  • Flash xloader from original update.app flash file (untick other partitions)

If your battery is completely dead, charge it using another phone that is working, or use battery from another phone. Thats is what I did to charge the battery.

Then to connect the phone, make sure you are selecting the correct CPU.
