In order to unlock this phone with sigmakey phone most be off when you conect the phone to PC because if u conect the phone ON it will not unlock it, will give u error for some reason.

Power the phone ON
Connect the phone to PC with USB cable
Install required ZTE handset USB driver (only if the phone is connected for the first time); in some cases drivers can be installed automatically
Select USB Modem port in the ports selection tab
Press "Unlock" button *
The message "Unlocking phone... Done" indicates that procedure was completed successfully
Wait for the message "Restarting phone... Done" to appear in Sigma dialog window; only after that you can turn the phone off
** PC connection of the phone has to be set to USB (not Bluetooth)
In phone menu: Settings - Connections - PC connection - USB

Leave the phone turned off and connect to PC before doing any operation.

Here is how I get it unlocked.

1. install ZTE_Android_USB_Driver.rar from sigmakey website.
2.turn off the phone
3. launch Sigmakey v2.06.02 <-- other version might work, I am currently using this version.
4. Platform - Qualcomm
5. Select 1st option - Unlock
6. select the "ZTE Handset Diagnostic Interface port
7. Phone model : Autodetect
8. Click on Direct Unlock.

Your phone should be unlocked.

Enjoy.
