SST & USB cable trouble - GSM-Forum

Hi

Can anyone confirm if SST 5.38 will work with a cable called C55 ?

The cable is a USB cable, one of those that creates a com port, when opened there is only very few components, main part is a BGA IC which must be the USB -> Serial converter chip..

The reason i ask is because i have alot of troubles with this C65, if i choose right phone and press unlock it says power on, i press power on briefly and then it changes the text to "Starting service mode" and the phone starts up with a blue screen that says "Service mode". all the buttons are greyed out at this point. After about 30 seconds the buttons are not greyed out anymore and the text changes to "reading data" but i doubt that it really does read anything because i have had it say that for 30 minutes without any change..

It seems that the cable "works" but not all the way..

have tried the "X65_Easy_Unlocker" with the cable and it will penetrate dima and do the first part but then it says "are you happy" i say yes it asks me to power on phone, i press power on, the phone enters service mode but then i get "error penetrating dimaass" or something like that..

The cable has a toggle switch by the way, options are L or R, which should i choose ? have tried both but they give the same result ?

Anyone.

PS. I have read numerous threads about how to do and have tried everything, like press read and wait then press unlock and so on, nothing have worked..

Anyone have an idea ? Cable or ?

Use DCA 510 very good working

Ok, have another phone, MC60, cut the testpoint and now my USB cable actually works.

That is if i use SST 5.38 it says that it is unlocked but then gives me "Wrong software" if i use SST 5.32 instead it does the same but then the phone is working and is unlocked. Same thing with Freia, it also says unlocked and it works..

Seems that the 5.38 is maybe not cracked so good as i think it is deliberately "messing" with the phones so they dont work.

But the C65 i still cannot get working. There is no testpoints on that phone is there ?

@twister fan thats because your c65 must be v36 or higher if thats the case try to downgrade if you cant then the only way will be original sstv6.05 or martech
