Samsung S3 SGH-T999 successful unlock question - GSM-Forum

My phone version is 4.3 and was successfully unlocked using the Samsung tool and IMEI repair.

Is this a permanent unlock on T999? Can i install a custom ROM and still sim unlocked and no problems?

I plan on changing to a custom ROM but worried that it will be locked again or will be bricked.

Please advice.

It seemed you unlocked your phone succesfully,
than could you show me how to get samsung tool & IMEI repair?

It was unlock via unlocking service and i paid around $10. I only saw what he did. It was rooted first via odin flash and used the Samsung tool (forgot the version) to unlock and updated the IMEI. Hope this helps a bit.
