Member: 128771 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | Smart Fortwo Cdi 450 Odometer correction -ZEE BSI Long time around here but only on cell phones During the last few months ive been ridding a 2002 Smart diesel, and so far it has be fun to drive around with it, but ive decided to use it in some dashboard correction tests, to understand how hard is to put my hands on this new world for me. So, ive been reading and making some research on several places and i could identify what i have on hands: * its a 93c66 on the dash itself that i need to read, change a few things in one line, and write back to it; * on the ZEE box (this car doesnt have the newer SAM unit) i need to read the HC05X32, change two lines (the mileage is stored in two addresses) and write back to it Sounds simple, right? Its not! For the HC05X32 if i try to read it using the wrong cable i may fill the whole eeprom with FF, its protected and i can destroy the data that i need and want to read. So here's my questions: I want to spend as less as possible, a home made interface is a possibility if i get the right schematic, but we are not in the Ponyprog era anymore and there are also good chinese clones for the Digiprog, Orange5 and Xprog in the market without spending too much money. I would like to know your opinion about which one is best for reading\writing these two IC safelly, keeping the stored data safe and from where should I buy any of this clones. About my sources of info to pull this of i already have NYO 4.0 and Tachsoft, both are quite good in what it concerns to the addresses that need to be changed and should be enough as a source of info to go through on that area, but the interface to be used and how to connect the IC to the interface is vaguely mentioned, and thats where i count with your inputs. Thanks in advance for all your inputs! Last edited by shooting@orange; 01-12-2020 at 11:41. Reason: Edit for user |

Member: 128771 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | Hy, and thanks for posting. The issue is to know the users opinion about a programmer suited to read and write these two units, the 93c66 and the HC05X32, there are a few chinese clones that might have quality enough to do this job. Thanks! |
