Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron M5010, Service Tag# 8H9N5N1 and Admin Password Lock is set. I called Dell and received two passwords that did not work ( ip1egitw ) and ( D1F71028 ). I was told to enter password and hit enter, then told to hit Ctrl then enter, then told to try Ctrl, then =, then enter and none worked. any other ideas?
Thank you, Mike

Okay, here's an update...after several days of researching how to reset my Dell M5010 Bios Password, I came across a tool that did it Its an ISO file, after rebooting computer with cd in drive (And was already set to boot from CD first), it let me change my service tag to the EXACT same one. It cleared the Bios to default and unlocked it
It does start up saying Windows 98 and I have Windows 7 but I just followed the simple few steps (And I am not computer literate at all). Here's the link to the 2.28mb DL ... Dell Bios Editing / Removing Bios Lock / Changing Service / Asset Tag Software Here
Good luck!

Sorry, but free support for that model is not available yet.

or pay a commercial password site.

Try one of these:
vimbnlkw --small L between n and k--
a8yfrzdi
lFVE4Z1200UcHSwO
--begins with small L, zeros between 2 and U, ends with O as in Olive--
