Passwords are for QWERTY keyboard only (standard US). Case sensitive. Some units only require pressing <enter> after password, some require pressing <ctrl>+<enter> after password and some require holding down <ctrl> while pressing <enter> once or twice.
Please report back with results. Good luck.
Thanks so much for your help. I have a new problem. I got thru the sys password but now its asking for a HDD PassWrd. I'm sure this is probably normal. The HDD tag is MJD0S906684-595B. I was having a prob in the past before I forgot the sys password. When I booted up it was acting like the P key was stuck. But it wasn't doing that until window7 loaded and needed a user password and it was impossible to put it in due to the PPPPP key being stuck or so it seemed. But the p key wasn't stuck during sys pass enter screen just when windows came up. If you have any ideas It would be sooo much appreciated. Again Thank you . Verdigo

Your model has two possible algo(-2A7B and -1F5A). Which is it?
Should be displayed on password request screen.

Sorry, but free support for that model is not available yet.

or pay a commercial password site.

Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me out with a HDD password. I have a Dell Inspiron Duo and is now prompting for a password. I have tried numerous things with no luck. This is what it says:

System Disable
[09F4D8BEF2EAD44C]

Service Tag
[C2G06R1]

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
