Yes, if the bios password is forgotten use that method to remove it. Make your changes, then while in bios create new password that you will remember.

That model has two possible bios versions, 2A7B or 1F5A.
If it's 1F5A then not free yet. But if it's 2A7B then the password is:

vj07GNkNKtnogE8y --zero between j and 7--

Instructions:
Passwords are for QWERTY keyboard only (standard US). Case sensitive. Some units only require pressing <enter> after password, some require pressing <ctrl>+<enter> after password and some require holding down <ctrl> while pressing <enter> once or twice.
Please report back with results. Good luck.
