I am french guy and my job consists to buy second-hand laptops from professional companies to resell them to individuals after having restored them.

But this time I have a problem with Bios passwords.

Hello all, this is great forum, I appreciate the helping people purpose!
I got used spare HDD for my laptop, but it is password locked HDD. Ebay seller sent me the photo of the back side of laptop that it is taken from:

Can someone help me getting HDD password reset code?
I don't need BIOS password (my BIOS is unlocked) but just this HDD password.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and it is asking me for the hard drive password.... It says Hard-disk #** X9S8P1AIT-595B, the system Primary HDD, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access data on this hard drive without the correct password. Please type in the hard-drive password and press <Enter>.
I have no idea what it could be. Can anyone help me?

BIOS version installed is A05. Latest is A09.

Has a HDD password. 3 times fail code in BIOS setup is 23130
fail code at the boot prompt is 08602

HDD serial number is S1YMJD0S521369
It's a Samsung HM500JI

Supervisor and User passwords are [Locked], grey, cannot access the fields. Boot password is not set/locked but the field is greyed out. Diskette access says [Supervisor], also greyed out. The only accessible password setting in BIOS setup is to (try to) change the HDD password.

Unplug the HDD and the Supervisor password changes to Clear and the laptop can be booted from other things. Plug the HDD in and only BIOS setup or going to the HDD password boot prompt is available. Supervisor password is apparently stored somehow on the hard drive.

There's nowhere to attempt to enter a Supervisor or User password and every other user changeable setting in setup can be changed and stays when saved.
