Went into the Network Identification screen and changed it from a "Business Network" to a "Home Network" and then it forced a reboot.

After the reboot it will not recognize my user name/password .... nada.

So ... called IBM & Microsoft and they said to log on as the Admin and reset the password for my account. Sounded simple but ...

I DON"T HAVE THE ADMIN password.

Is there a way to get around this or am I forced to lose the data and re-install the operating system.

Please Help and tell me there is a way????

Thanks,
Sorry, but I am confused. Are we talking about a Dell C800 or a IBM Thinkpad? Oh well, doesn't matter if your looking for a Windows password and not bios. Research program I mentioned before and shuold work for windows. Good Luck

Sorry, but am a little confused on your procedure.
Try this:
Use <shift> key, not <caps lock> key when needed will entering password.
Just enter azerty password you mentioned in earlier post. Hold down <ctrl> then press <enter>twice.

Enter 3 wrong passwords, it should give a 5 digit error code. Example [12345]. Please post that code.

Please Help
Try one of these:
rcxgba
wsrmnk
pdsyd
axfjd
xavqezu

Instructions:
Passwords are for QWERTY keyboard only (standard US). Case sensitive. Some units only require pressing <enter> after password, some require pressing <ctrl>+<enter> after password and some require holding down <ctrl> while pressing <enter> once or twice.
Please report back with results. Good luck.
