Nootebook Bios Password


Hello everybody!!! I have a brand new laptop with a winXP, the windows
is working without any misstake, but when i want to enter to the Bios,
request a password ................!

What can i do???! Please Help me!!!!

oke,
now do the follwing,
start up the pc and press f2 to enter the bios,
when it asks for the password, press f12, it will display a hash code,
mail me the hash code at: [email protected]

u will get ur master password

I push the F12 booton,end doesnt happens anything. Do yuo have anothern idea?
I can enter the bios with F10 booton.
My bios Compaq.

oh,
do the following then if it has a compaq bios:
take out the laptop battery. Remove the bios battery too.
leave it for 30 seconds minimum and insert directly the adapter to the laptop,
it should now be unlocked.
Press F10 and freely enter the bios

p.s. to find the bios battery location, you can search for service manual of your compaq/ hp at www.hp.com

And in the case of a HP Omnibook 6100?

Is the only way to read EEprom to calculate the password?

Hey mohammed are there any laptops yuo cant get rid of the BIOS password??
I have a fujitsu siemens lifebook S6010 pentium 3 with a BIOS password, any way i can get rid of it?

in some laptops like hp pavilion and ibm thinkpad and many other is a eprom.

u need to desolder it, start laptop -> go to bios -> u see many ?????? with some text -> solder eprom back (ATTENTION: this must be done with laptop powered on and in bios) and type in new password and save it!

now close laptop and test...

in most caese my trick overwrites the old password without to know it and you can use new password
