Yes, unfortunately "Unlock" operation doesn't work for Android 7.x firmwares for this device model. We work on solution and release it as soon as the solution will be ready.

You can downgrade firmware version in this device, but You should have the firmware. Unfortunately, we don't have Android 6.x firmware for this device model.

Can you (@ector) confirm you have DOWNGRADED the phone from SW Version: M15020l to SW Version: M15020e ?
I want to make sure before trying because Octoplus JTAG Pro doesn't have compatible loaders for LG series M
