iPhone 4S RSIM Air no 3G 128k SIM - GSM-Forum

Hello everyone,

I've been using RSIM Air for iphone 4S for a while now and never had an issue with them until now.

I have some iPhone 4S from Sprint and Verizon and I'm trying to get them to work with TELCEL in México

The SIM it's a 128K SIM and the iOS on the phones varies, I'll start with a Verizon one on iOS 6.1.3 (Seems like the easiest one)

Ok so I insert the SIM with the RSIM and the menu pops in.
I choose Mode 2 and then US VER like always and then restart.

After some minutes it picks up the signal and I'm able to receive and send calls. So far so good.

After that I disable the WiFi to check the data and there's no 3G symbol next to the carrier name.

Tried using the ir0se tool and tried switching it to 2G - 3G with no luck whatsoever.

I tried some other RSIM hoping maybe something was wrong but no luck at all.

What can I do next? I'll try to upload some images and maybe a video of what I'm doing so you guys can tell me what am I doing wrong.

I hope someone can help me with this. Or maybe help me to understand what do the RSIM REALLY DO so I can nail what the problem is.

Note: I tried the same procedure with some other iPhones that I got and they all just pick up the TELCEL signal, but no 3G at all.

Try mode 4 and force 2g with the iroospatch.

I bought the rpatch yesterday kinglock and I've been following the guide in your page to the letter and still nothing.

Like I said, I've been using rsim for a while now and this is the first time I ran into this problem.

Any other solution? Suggestions? I can send more pictures of everything I did/been doing if needed so I can get this to work

I also ordered an rpatch code but still waiting for it. I hope it arrives soon since it's been almost 24hrs now.

Also, both repos from isamsim are not working and any of my jailbreak-able iphones.
Using the cydia.china3gpp.com

But still no luck at all.

So you're jailbroken, but I'll ignore that for now.

Mode2 in RSIM Air=3G on iOS 6 & iOS 7 in/outside of USA regardless of any patch if iPhone is previously activated. Settings, Phone, My Number requires any phone number.
Mode3/4 in RSIM Air=Edge on iOS 6 & iOS 7 in/outside of USA regardless of any patch. You need iRose(unlockpro.ru/nano4g) or Rpatch in 2G/ON mode for it to work.

Mode2=no SMS out outside of USA.
Mode3/4=SMS out outside of USA.

Now that you are jailbroken, you can go ahead and add cydia.neterteam.com repo and install 4S iOS7 3G Neterpatch in Mode2 to get 3G & SMS out working regardless of being activated or not with Verizon/Sprint previously.
