Member: 2091625 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 50 | Bypassed Activation Screen !! I was able to bypass activation screen with the following procedure 1) Jailbreak with Evasi0n 2) Update cydia with all updates available in "Changes" tab 3) Install Activator and SBSettings as described in the below link, (only as described in the below link, because default Activator does not work) This activator may not work for iPhone 5S because of 64bit architecture, I tried on my Sprint iPhone 5c www dot loymovie dot com/article/how-to-install-sbsetting-on-ios7 dot html Replace dot in the above URL with dot symbol 4) Check if your activator is working by Swiping from Left to Right on the status bar, it should open a overlay menu as shown in the above link If your activator is not working, install Mobile Substrate Fix as shown in the below link, www dot redmondpie dot com/how-to-fix-mobilesubstrate-tweaks-on-ios-7-without-any-side-effects/ 5) Put your SIM (with or without RSIM) and the screen goes to activation 6) Now Swipe Right on the Status bar to bring up activator 7) Touch "More" icon in the third row of the activator. After Step 7, the Activator Screen is bypassed, you are taken to Sprintboard (Desktop with Icons) After you are in this screen, my phone has carrier signal (Vodafone IN) but here is the bad news 1) Eventhough my phone shows carrier signal and I have bypassed the activation screen, when I try to reach this number from another phone, I still get "The Dialed Number is Switched Off" 2) None of the Icons work except the Phone Icon 3) Not able to make/receive calls or text messages 4) In the Activator Dialog "Processes", I can see "Setup" App running and tried to kill it, it reappears So effectively, effectively even though I'm in the Springboard (Desktop), it is same as being in the activation screen thought to share this, so that if there is a cydia tweek or someone has any info to improvise from here, we can crack this to work with calls and 2g at the least |

Member: 1650191 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | Hey, I can completely delete setup.app, but don't have RSIM to test. I tested by inserting my carrier sim, the phone says invalid sim, but not requiring activate anymore. Anyone have RSIM please test the call and sms function and let us know, thanks. |

And restarted the phone, the phone no longer asks for activation I have carrier signal Vodafone India even without using R-SIM Mini, When I use R-SIM Mini there is no difference, I still get carrier signal However, I'm not able to make/receive phone calls and send/receive sms when I try to call this number from another phone, I get "The dialed number is switched off" So even though the activation screen has been bypassed by deleting the Setup . app and the phone shows signal, the phone has not registered with the network which is equivalent to phone being switched off Also all the apps and settings works I left the SIM (without R-SIM) for a while and got a Spam Call from the Network to activate Value Added Services. I received the call and I was able to activate a 3g pack! Also my USSD code works, I'm able to check my Account Balance using *111# All this without R-SIM ! Now the only thing left is making/receiving calls, sms, internet ! Last edited by shy_mkm; 12-31-2013 at 06:41. | |
