Setup RSIM 12+ on iPhone 8 - GSM-Forum

Hello,

My nephew has an iPhone 8 on iOS 12.3 that he used on an rsim 12+, he has been using it a long time ago and had no problem with it, yesterday he just reset the phone and It went on activation screen, since i've try many new ICCID code on it and none of them works on it, iPhone still on iOS 12.3, should I update it on iOS 14 ? Or it’s possible to unlock it on iOS 12 ? I stil get rsim menu, I can edit eccid and phone is locked to AT&T AND can’t be unlocked since all installment payments have not been paid.

update 0s to 14 then use lastest iccid code and unlock will be successful...AT&T iphone with unpaid bills can be factory unlock its expensive

I am in a similar situation, my iPhone X on iOS 11.2.1 is unlocked from Sprint with a Rsim 12. Can I update my phone OS to the latest or will I have re-unlock with ICCID?
If I have to re unlock after updating, can I unlock with my Rsim 12 or do I need the latest Rsim?

rsim 12 and rsim 14 old version can still work,just upgrade iphone to lastest os then use the lastest iccid and thats it unlock done...
