I have read hundreds of posts here in the last few weeks with different methods to get the unlock working. The number one predictor of success is the SIM card you are using and the network that you are connecting to. There is no special magic to get certain network SIMs to work. There are steps to follow in multiple threads, but these will only work if you have the correct SIM(whether 64K or 128K; usually 64K has more success) and good network.

Last week, I took my TMobile US 64K SIM to France and roamed on Orange France network for a week. I did not have service, so I couldn't test incoming call/SMS for full report.

Comparison:

Loss of 3G data was frequent on both Orange Fr and TMobile US.
Automatic 3G/Edge switching with Cydia app and with 3G toggle was supported only on Orange Fr, but not TMobile US.
Incoming calls/SMS not supported on TMobile US with 3G, but I couldn't test on Orange Fr.

The same here in brazil. With 9C in my 5C Sprint on TIM Mobile i get 1 bar and searchin, and i never could use with this carrier, Its very Unstable. With AIR2 i get Carrier 15.1 instead of show Sprint (my selected carrier) on About, and always loop activation Screen.
in other words This crap dont work with TIM.

With VIVO Mobile, Works with Both Rsims.
