Error[0xc002002a]: STATUS_SEC_IMG_TYPE_MISMATCH

This error usually come when phone can't check file sign on flash.
Many factors can cause this error, incompatible firmware, bad file, incorect file, modified file, damaged or corupted emmc flash ic so on.
If you 100% sure about firmware, in this case problem can be with damaged or corupted flash ic.

Dear team many lates phones infinix and tecno has this problem, their company has provided a swdaftersales carlcare flash tool, once that tool it is free but now are working with dongle or code, when I sent one phone in each phones to customer care, they have repaired it to normal

Ok, all these phones cd8j x655c x680 this error are appearing on vbmeta, but I'm sure this it is issue for these lates phones,

Please nck team we need solution, to fix this error since last two months, this phones, I'm trying I have contacted many people that are part of this working , but they are telling me wait ,,

I'm sure, I have signed firmware, but while flashing can't do always this error

To solve this error need phone and information.
Without this is almost imposible to solve some.

From what i'sm seen vbmeta was writed ok in phone.
Problem is with vbmeta_sistem.
If you uncheck vbmeta_system flashing finish ok?
Or give errors on other files also.
Will need also readed scater + readed vbmeta_sistem and original scater + original vbmeta_system.

vbmeta files usually contain sign for "sensible partitions" like boot, recovery system so on.
if phone not accept this sign, here can be 3 posible explanations.

1.Phone flasher compose sign on the fly using some server to generate sign.
In this case will be problematic to make some without autorisation and server access.

2.Phone flasher send auth in phone to open for write some sensible partitions.
In this case need auth or sniff original flasher to get this auth.

3.was changed writing protocol for this files.
In this case also need phone and sniff writing protocol used by original flasher.

Infinix and tecno here is very rare or almost not exists in my country.
Will try to check if posible to get one phone in resonable budget.
But anyway, this can take time, so not expect fast solution here.

This problem cause while writing vbmeta_system and super, even if I untecked vbmeta_system super all partitions are written no problem the means even if unteck
vbmeta_system , super again give this error, i know many people will need a solution on about that issue, because these phones have an app, I'm thinking only flashing will fix the app, factory reset can't fix it, because with that app camera and WiFi can't be use after factory reset and misbehaving, because of the problem of the app, but not all phone with that app , I hope nck will forward it and provide a solution I know many are waiting

Need to use signed file.
This error usually come when you try to write unsigned, wrong, or incompatibe firmware.
For this error exists lot of explanations, try to use forum search.

you will see, need to use swdaftersales carlcare flash tool.
Posible this tool use temp sign, of online auth, really not know.
Here not exists this phones and not posible to get this phone at resonable price.
Without phone is not posible to make some, when we will have phone, will be solution.
But untill this not exists official support for this problem.
You can use hexeditor and check if files is signed and public key from preloader and dtbo is same.
This also can cause this error.
