You have 2 problems.
First problem is with usb connection, bad usb cable or wrongly testpoint.
When you make testpoint, phone must be with disconnected battery.
You must make tp, insert usb cable, when exe will show new usb port(will be displayed in status bar), need to disconect testpoint.
After you can service phone.
If you want to perform multiple opperations, uncheck reboot phone at opperation finish.

Second problem, this phone need credits to autorize edl mode.
Simple checking use server without credits will get you error.

Xiaomi credits you can check in qualcomm module, exe have button for this.
In main module, will not be displayed xiaomi credits.
