can any expert tell me what is the part name for 6600 LCD??


dear all

can any expert tell me what is the part name for 6600 LCD??

like for 3310 LCD ot was Philips PCD8544 controller

so one knows anything about 6600 or later LCD like for 7610 6630 6680 ..

it will be so appreciated becuse I intend to use in my project..

no speedy I need the model of the lcd to search for its datasheet and build a project that make a PIC1684 interface to the nokia 6600 LCD
as for nokia 3310 the model is PCD8544 by philips company

I've searched for the same thing a while ago. The display should use a epson controller but I'm not sure. Fact is, that you will need something stronger than 16f84, possibly a AVR32 or ARM to drive this kind of display. Even with the Nokia 6100 display you will face problems with speed of uC, specially if you work with graphics and text combined.

P.S. I can suggest you to use a PSP display, it's from SHARP and is very well documented. You get a LED backlight also, it's very very cheap and the results are impressive. Also here you will need some faster uC to drive the display.
