Disassemble Symbian s60 3rd Programm
 

Hi all,


i tried to disassemble a Symbian s60 3rd Program with IDA Pro 5.
But this didn't work, i had no problems with s60 2nd Progs.

Can someone help me?

yeah, I'm thinking this too... IDAPro jus giving errors - how do groups like BiNPDA and SymPDA dissasemble 3rd Ed apps? (.exe)

simple, cos the new generation is designed for phones with a new type of processor!

2nd gen use ARM4T 7.0 CPU while 3rd generation use ARM9 CPU.

So all opcodes are different!

solution is to download the latest IDA which is available in these forums for a long while :)

I already have the latest version of IDA Pro (v 5.0.0.879) and still cant open 3rd Edition apps (exe) - any ideas?

I'm prety sure that that N70 is based on the ARM9 CPU (check wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_N70) and IDA Pro works perfect on that.
