He-he. My old comp (P3) easy calc SHA1 from 8 digit code (dec) range with ~1 min without any GPU clusters etc. But for 10 digit its grow up to 1,5 hour. Next value: 16 digit - aprox 200 year. So, if NOKIA gift 8 dig. NCK - its very good gift. But i see only 15 digits codes there.

I think that no one cluster (in simple room) or super-puper computer can't calc SHA1(15-digit dec code range) for some hours or few days. Think solution is other.

Oh man, you forgot that these days are GPU and other asynchronous CPU days, where computation power exceed much more than you can imagine like 1600 cores on one GPU (some ATI cards). And also 1 of that core can beat XX of your old P3 in some cases, so just forget it.

p.s. I think you know that, just can't understand P3 role here

Not much "XX", as you think, man. 1xGTS250 = just only 65 my p3'th, for example. For this task, sure. And it is 705 Tflops! And yours hint S2070 get 5152 Tflops. Its only 7.3 GTS250s or 475 my pure p3'th. And this happy for only 13 k$.

All this things more than understanding. Our GTS250 will bfs our 15 digit only 29 days. S2070 - few days. 24xS2070 - few hours.

My words above just only way for getting started thinking. For 78 posts nobody explain how many GPU's, money and time needs for our task.

It would be very interesting if one of the developers release calculation for everyone, every user using his own calc power. it will end on a course of high cost computers for calculation of a single code!

BUT there are some new rapido single asic phones with (hash 479C), i am thought Nokia have fixed all bugs in it and it has high security..! There should be other method to unlock this phone instead bruteforce :-) or I could be wrong.

Bro your explanation is very perfect..................

Hi,

To make one code in 1.5 minute you need:

1. 1000 computers, 2500 Euro each ( 2.5 mil total)
2. They will consume total of 800 kW during this 1.5 min
3. You will need some aircon (industrial probably) to cool them off if you do many phones
4. If you fit 10 in 42U rack, then you need 100 racks. As one takes probably 1 square
meter, you need very large room to host them all (> 300 sq.m)

Note: This data is based on HW/SW optimizations i done after more than a year
operation of SL3 unlock cluster. If you do it, you will probably have 4 minutes per
phone with such a setup (other teams setup, based on what they post in this forum as speed)

Hope this answers your questions.

BR, Alex

If you have zero knowledge in sever base stuffs please ask and don't say what you don't know about...every body will be glad if SL3 calculation will be free or easy, but a lot of guys will run from this forum if we ask about money for starting a project ike this..but this guys want to earn money on sl3 phones....SL3 is not like nokia 3310 cpu or 1100...it need money before you can unlock it..
