Member: 3156 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 63 | How to dump NOR memory? a noob here, with a noob question, how do we actually dump with intent of cloning a NOR type memory? this one: S29GL064N90TFI030 - 64 Megabit, 32 Megabit 3.0-Volt only Page Mode Flash Memory Featuring 110 nm MirrorBit Process Technology - 48 pin standard TSOP made by SPANSION used in one of my favorite CPE. what are the tools needed for doing such, direct if possible. jtag (or ejtag exactly) is second in mind since finding all related docu takes ages, board is actually running on infineon PXB 4010 which is an SOC with dual core MIPS based on 24kec family. on board could be possible standard Test Access ports/Points (untested but i have little doubts on this) as the CPU is IEEE Standard 1149.1/boundary scan compliant except that i can't find one bsdl file describing it. suppose ejtag is the only possible solution for this, is any of the jtag interfaces available here (ort, riff, jrt etc) can be configured to support such? thank you for reading this, hoping to see some light soon. br. |

Member: 1656375 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I wondering if anyone knows a way to dump the NOR flash chips of the second gen PS3 fats and the newer PS3 slims. I know I could buy an $800+ flash memory progammer but that is way too much money for this project. I am rather good with NAND chips, like those in the wii, 360, and 1st gen PS3 fats, but my infectus as it will not work with NOR flash memory chips. Maybe some of our combined knowledge can help open up new possibilities. Anyone with any insight please respond. Flamers, trolls, general idiots or noobs should not respond to this thread. new technology news |
