Hi could any1 please tell me how to unlock a W580i???
Can it be done by myself with just software or does it need specialist equipment to get the job done.

you need software tool for unlocking it...like se tool , Ub box , cruiser or any online unlocking server.

If you're in Canada it can be done by yourself.

Please can someone help me to Unlock my phone I need the Unlock code for my SonyEricsson W580i Its locked with O2 network and I would like to use a Vodafone sim card in the phone, I have been trying to understand the posts on this web site but it seems very technical and I feel that punching in the Unlock code is the only way for me to go. I can give you my IMEI number - I am in the UK - my email address is: [email protected]

not for free sir if you like by code google is your friends and if you like now contact any professional in your city, you must have professional hardware for unlock

If your planning on unlocking other Sony Ericsson phones, id seriously look at investing some money into SE Tool 3

Thank you for your quick reply and advice fypoi & Exodusnz, its just the one phone that I need the unlock for, I have been told that some times if you pay online that the unlock code sometimes does not work so I do not know the best place to try online, I thought that I would be able to get the unlock code here as I did for my sumsung phone, it was easy I just had to put the number in and that was done LOL.
can you tell me the cost of this unlock code as I have been told that it could be £12 do you think that is correct?. Thank you

I agree with you, some servers could rip you off.

I would suggest taking a look at the supported servers on this forum, search for Motorola
