Is it really impossible to start a P990 without a simcard? Thus making it impossible to unlock?

Does anyone have an (expired) UK Orange SIM-card that i can get? (paying for shipping of course)

I don't know anyone who has these "test cards". Where can i get them?
Will any normal blank smart card work?
