Member: 47173 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | Need flash from T68 with STM Flash Chip (ARM) I need someone to read the AVR and ARM from a T68 that has the ST ARM Flash Chip in it. The chip is directly under an ericsson chip on the left side. Chip ID's (it will be similar to one of these... I need ST): ST = M36DR216C Toshiba = TH50VSF1480AASB (Also TH50VSF1480) Fujitsu = 84VD2109 I need the 8MB AVR and both a 2MB and 4MB (if possible) ARM image. If anyone can help me with this, Please PM me. |

Member: 47173 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | If it is from a phone with an ST chip yes :-) I'm attempting to solve the bad standby problems after flashing (occasionally). I've found the fix for Toshiba and Fujitsu chips, now I need ST. |

Member: 47173 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | It's actually not a GDFS issue... It's in the ARM flash itself. It's a very strange phenomenon. So far I've found two distinctly different versions of the ARM flash for R8A015. One of them will work fine on a toshiba, but cause low standby on a fujitsu. And the other will work fine on a fujitsu, but not on a toshiba. Both are using the same AVR/GDFS flash. Neither of the flashes will fix the low standby problem on a ST though, which is why I wanted to read one off of a working ST. |

Member: 83 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | hmm, merwin, its strange. Did you checked ARM firmware area - should be the same for both versions you have. Only difference could be in ARM parameters. Low standby arises because of problems with reading fixed params table. But i can't say how to make 100% correct cure for it. Sometimes just reuploading full ARM flash with good fixed params table solves the problem, sometimes uploading full ARM + downgrading FW to some early version helps. Sometimes also full reset is necessary (full reset affects ARM params too). Its 100% ARM-only problem, but still needs some shamanic dances around the phone to fix it. |

Member: 47173 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | I have 2 phones... one with a fujitsu arm flash and one with a toshiba arm flash. Both use the exact same R8A015 AVR flash (GDFS and everything). Both versions of the ARM are R8A015, but the files are not exactly the same. One of the ARM files works on one phone, one of the files works on the other phone. If I use the wrong file, standby time is bad. If I use the right file, standby time is good. So, from that I can say that there are at least two unique ARM flashes for R8A015. |
