Member: 2236 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 58 | Well, I definately did something wrong... I tried to convert 8192 KB of *.bin file to ARM with bin2arm.exe but I got 8193 KB *.arm file... little to big, I would say Where to cut correct to get the normal size of *arm file after conversion with bin2arm.exe ? Member: 17806 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 8 | Try this way : 1. Use Hex Workshop Hex Editor to open the file 2. Go to the END of this file, than use SEARCH function in Hex Workshp to find a Text String named "IDLE"! You have to search from the end of the file and search upward. In other words, you are looking for the first "IDLE" from the end upward. 3. When you find the "IDLE", delete all "FFFF" and the rest of file afterward. 4. You are expected to get a result like above! Save the file and use bin2arm convertor to convert it to modem flash files for DIV format. 5. Start Command Prompt and type "bin2arm YOURFILENAME" 6. When the conversion is completed, you will get a file named "YOURFILENAME.arm"! This is the modem flash files for DIV format. Or you can find more info here : http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=161820 |

Member: 2236 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 58 | It didn't help... looks like that Twister reads it little different than SEtool because, I got 8192 KB readed with Twister and I did as you said, searched for IDLE but the first IDLE from the end is somewhere in the middle of the file and no FFFF's are afterwards so it probably should be cut in a different way... I'm just asking.. trying to learn... Spalato |

Member: 17806 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 8 | There is a .sbn to .bis convertor here http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...1&postcount=30 , also look there what are instructions for .arm to .bih converting with same tool Another soolution is if Z200 is supported by SETOOL , you'll have to find out start address and length , if not we should ask "the_author" ( BR ) to implement it , or we can seat and wait until "smiling crocodiles from the small lake feed themselfs enough" hehehe |

Member: 77254 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 9 | I've read that z200 is ARM based phone I don't think what sPoK explain regarding converting bin to ARM (which is for Flash Modem in AVR base phone) will work. But it's worth to try. |
