problem with TotalTool dongle - GSM-Forum

i have build dongle
but when i run software i get "dongle not fount"
what are correct setting for 16F876 and are there any corrections in schematic?

Hi,
go to
http://nokiafree.org/forums/f47/s222...436086321b9d3f and look at post fom DavorCroat.

Notice.

You must use external or USB power 5V,
Use capatitors from 20-40pF to ground XT.
Between Resistor R1(22K) use 10K.
Hex and cable connection are good.

are you builded this?
i use 5V USB
on crystal are 2 caps 39pF
i tried 22k and 10k and this if for phone connection not for detecting dongle
i wrote pic with ICProg 105A
when i open hex in program are active 2 settings CPD and PWRT
is it good? because in terminator hex only CPD is active
and nokiafree forum are down some days
maybe any ideas?
p.s. i found only some posts on this theme and nobody says I DID IT
????

Hi,
yes I made it before some days and works fine.
Good hex is from 23.06.2003 time 15:11 size 47.581byte

I made mistake because short lot pin 10 on DB25 and PIN 13 of MUX, there was very near, and I alsways get message "Selected model invalid", but now everything works fine.
Check still one more your dongle.
If you use USB support 5V that is correct, I use external, but the same.
XT-14,7456MHz and Capatitiors 39pF to GND is also good.
CPD and PWRT is not so important, only check in your programator if you used for cristal HS, because this is high frequency.
in the cable check pin 9 and 11 from mobile must connect to pin 6 in dongle in scheme isn't connect.
That's all

The free hex and scheme that is around the net is 100% working, I have built one.
Check the dongle you have built, there is probably missing or wrong connections somewhere.

iv found that TT dongle working!! but only on PC PIII
on my Compaq Armada PII notebook still dongle not found
but Nokia Dejan DCT3 dongle works good
i tried install dk2wn32.exe - no success
in bios ECP port(only it is available) - enable
lpt pins 8-25 are grounded like in Dejan dongle
some time before i tried to launch DCT4 on my notebook and it was too dongle not found
ideas?

Hi to all !!

I'm also having problem with my dongle... TT 1.55 found the dongle & thath part work's fine... But when trying to enter test mode, on the end always get " communication error " message....
so any suggestions for help !!???
