Think about Universal Flash IC Programmer
You must desolder the Flash IC from the Phone’s PCB and put on the Programmer
And you can read or write this IC’s flash content !

This is always trouble to remove IC’s out of the pcb and dealing with glued IC’s
You may also sometimes damage the IC’s because of many reasons !

But actually you can directly connect the phones using ORT-JTAG and JTAG Interface of the phone !
Whic means without need of any hardware modification most part you should solder some pins to phone such as

JTAG Pinouts :

• VREF
• TRST
• TDI
• TMS
• TCK
• RTCK
• TDO
• SRST
• GND

We still use in the gsm to connect phones RX/TX/GND for UART ( RS232 Connection ) but for the JTAG Connection because the protocol is different we just need different pins .

How to repair a Dead Phone ?

This above all clear but another question comes to mind right ?
