Member: 4021 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 782 | sir malikk please pardon me with my ignorance... but i have questions on what situation will we use the custom firmware??.... what is the difference of the original firmware to a custom firmware??? i uninstalled my 7.7 itunes and installed 7.5 but its says that the previous version blah blah blah error appears each time i run 7.5.... though the uninstallation of 7.7 and installion of 7.5 was successfull... was there anything wrong with my procedure to install the 7.5? thanks alot for answering my questions!!! br |

Member: 63042 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 117 | @ryumahon Re itunes 7.7 downgrading to 7.5 , you must uninstalled higher version before lower version be possible. But no need to do this! if you are using ActivePwn/ QuickPwn you need itunes 7.7 The diff of restore firmware and custom firmware is if you want just to restore original iphone firmware then you may use this. But if your iphone is accidentally upgrade to version 2.0 and instead of downgrading to 1.1.4 ,you can straight use the custom firmware or follow the procedure in pwning and the results it will be unlocking, activate, jailbreak in one for 2g and jailbreak only for 3g!
