hi every one, need help to recover my 3gs,16gb,fro recovery mode.

i update it with 4.3.5 ,but always ,error 29,,plz help,any one,

Try the small fix's plz
1:change cable
2:change usb port
3:charge your phone more then 50%

Error 29 is connectivity error
means when itune fails to cennect with iphone between restoring then you got 29 error

all this error codes are caused from the jailbreak to ipad baseband i have noticed that

try this === dissemble your iphone disconnect battery from motherboard for 2 hours.and reassemble properly and restore with stock firmware 4.1 if you got error 1015 use tinnyumberlla to kick out recovery mode then jailbreak with redsnow unlock with ultrasn0w your problem is 1000% solved. i tested many 3gs

some time its firmware problem.redownload new firmware then check.your firmware is corrupt

bro it is due to battery , so pls change u r battery or restore the set with out battery

thanks for all of you.. but still,same,i change battery,,clean all pcb,leave the iphone with out battery more than 3 hours,,but still,facing same problem,,,plz help any tested solution,,,,error 29,,,3gs

This is something we are looking into. As far as we can tell, this is caused by the battery and the logic board. With newer builds of the iPhone 3GS, it appears that they come with a battery with an Apple part number (APN) of 616-0433, 616-0434, or 616-0435. All 3 of those part number were succesful in updating to iOS 4.0 with the "newer" 3GS. These batteries have to be replaced with a battery of the same part number. If you try to use a battery with a part number of 616-0428 or 616-0431 on a newer 3GS, it will give you the "Error 29" message every time.

We have not figured out how to determine which battery you need other than taking the battery out and looking at the part number

i got this quote from ifixit.com, and it works for me, the specific logic board requires the same battery part number, you can not just change the battery without noticing the part number, it must have been the same one
