i phone 3gs big pain any help please

Hi people
Still having problems , it's not having none of it
All I want to do is restore this back to factory without jail break or anything like that
I tunes sees it, tries to restore it goes through the motion of restore but fails saying it can't restore even with files downloaded from Internet.
Could it be my files are corrupted in the phone my baseband ect. Is there a way of just like a laptop **** the whole lot away format and start again, it's driving me mad. This is my wife's mobile and my wife does not want to upgrade been there tried that one.
Any help guys please .

Can you post your IMEI , lemme check if you can upgrade to stock without needing to jailbreak and unlock it after update .
Also , tell me which iOS version are trying to restore ??

hi
if i could get the mobile to restore on itunes i could proberly give you the ime
but because i cant get it to restore' i cant see the ime.

the mobile was brought on ebay from a company that refurbish iphones and this one was on o2 network.

i believe it was on update 6.1.6 and was giving a white screen and freezing most of the time.

so any help on this i would be very greatfull.

To get imei you have to turn it on first.. i m assuming mobile has no harfware issue..
1-put it in dfu mode(using ireb,google it)
2- download 3gs firmware 4.1
3- restore it via itune
4-if gives error at last 60/70 % .. just turn it of nd on by home+power key
5-download tinyumbrella nd press kick recovery..
6-if it is factory unlocked it will bypass activation if not you have to jb it using redsnow..
dont forget to tick install ipad baseband nd ultrasnow deb..
note:4.1 is most suiteable version for 3g nd 3gs.. it will get you out of trouble..

ive taken out the sim tray dont quite know if its the original or not but here is the ime on it.

Your wife's sim card is an O2 ? right ?
If yes , you can upgrade it to iOS 6.1.6 .
Avoid updating baseband to 6.15 since your phone is made in 2012 week 9th ( SN : 882094V4EDG )

thanks for getting back to me, and yes my wifes sim is o2 and i have tried every thing yesterday and night just to put this phone back to factory but keep getting a error it says the firmware that was downloaded is corrupt and is no good....

this is a nightmare trying to do this' but my wife does not want a new mobile just this one.

seem the hard ware is fine but the software is not good and needs to be ****n away and start again from scratch.

any ideas mehdi i would be very great full.

hone 3gs 6.1.6 jailbreak unlock susesfull

3gs iPhone2,1_6.1.6_10B500_Restore untethered jailbreak & unlock

1) Restore your device with iPhone2,1_6.1.6_10B500
2) Jailbreak
2.1) Open redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3
2.2) Go to extra
2.3) Go to select ipsw
2.4) Select iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore
2.5) Back
2.6) Jailbreak
2.7) Next, follow the instructions to enter dfu mode
2.8) Check install cydia & install ipad baseband
2.9) Wait until jailbreak done

3) There will be no cydia in your device
3.1) Open redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3
3.2) Go to extra
3.3) Go to select ipsw
3.4) Select iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore
3.5) Go To Just boot
