iphone 3g wont go to dfu. 4.2.1 - GSM-Forum

hey guys. i have an i phone 3g and i restored it in my itunes (version 4.1.2 modem firmware 5.15.04) the problem is when i try to jailbreak it with redsnow the section when it tells me to put it in dfu it wont work. i cheeked the cables on the phone works fine. same with the home button. i can restore it with itunes and i tried putting it in bootmode or recovery then jailbreaking it. it doesnt work. its say waiting for phone to boot in redsnow.

any ideas?

try on another PC
maybe driver-crash.
i had same prob

Delete Apple USB Driver from device manager and then try again

GreenPois0n don't with 3G so if your phone on DFU mod not will be detected by GreenPois0n

tested on 3 different PC

yeah im not using greenpoison for my 3g. but ill try to use it on a different computer. im going to test it and post it here thanks.!

are you saying Greenpois0n doesnt work with iphone 3G because i have 1 which is giving the same problem

Yeap, not working with 3G. May be fixed later as bugs.

i have same problem home power button work fine need to restore it as it password and cutsomer doesnt know it now its locked out just carnt get it in dfu been trying for hours now plz help
