itune error 40 help needed plz - GSM-Forum

hi i have a 3g iphone that comes up with error 40 every time you try to restore with itunes i see that there is a fix for this but when ever i try to download 4.1 it comes in zip form i have tried changing it to .ipsw but snowbreeze does not see it hwo can i get this to work ??or could you tell me another way not bothered about it been unlocked

well i have tried 2.02 custum software put phone into dfu mode on itunes 10 but still getting error 40 anyone got any clues

when i run ireb v4 i only get white screan any help plz

My Computer > Tools > Folder Option > View > Untrick > Hide Exensions for Known File Types .

Then Rename the firmware name .ZIP to .IPSW

cheers got ipsw file but still error 40 someone must no what to do .if apple release new 4.2 co7uld that solve it ??

to save other people having similar error need to change the file extention from .zip to .ipsw pretty simple go to folder options and show hidden file extentions. done
