Member: 654138 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Is it possible to unlock an apple iphone 1.1.2 to older versions? I have read forums all over now for over 4-5 hours and some people say its possible while others dont. I just got an Apple Iphone 1.1.2 or 04.02.13_G with baseband 4.06 at the USA Apple Store. All I want to do is downgrade it and have it unlocked with all its features (phone, ipod, internet) I dont care whether its 1.02 unlocked or 1.1.1 unlocked. Right now the phone isn't much use to me and I dont want an ipod touch as this is my only phone right now. I know it has a lot to do with the baseband. Does anyone know how to make it so that it doesn't block the unlock process? Is it possible to change the baseband? I've seen websites that says you can downgrade to 1.1.1 and then unlock but they dont say how so it must be possible. If anyone can help at all even with some tips of how I can downgrade and unlock my phone that would be fabulous. Thanks everyone and Happy Holidays. |

Member: 137426 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 50 | I hope this will help a lot of people, because they are mixing up firmware/baseband and bootloader. If you have an Iphone with firmware 1.1.2 and baseband 04.02.13G and bootloader 4.6 you can't unlock your Iphone yet. If you have updated to firmware 1.1.2, it doesn't matter from what version, it can be from 1.1.1 or 1.0.2, than you have baseband 04.02.13G (because with updating Itunes give you new baseband, not new bootloader) and it can be unlocked without problems. Upgraded iphones to 1.1.2 still have old bootloader like 3.9. So all Iphones, out the box (OTB), starting from week 45> (check 4th and 5th number from SN on backside), with firmware 1.1.2 and baseband 04.02.13G have boot 4.6 and there is no solution at this time. You can hardware unlock your Iphone with Turbosim but it costs EUR80 and you need to cut your simcard. If you have an OTB 1.1.2 Iphone with baseband 04.02.13G and bootloader 4.6 you can downgrade with Itunes to 1.1.1. You still have the new bootloader so you can't unlock it but you can activate it. You need to jailbreak and you can use it. I hope i made no mistakes |

PM me for further info or purchase. |
