Apple without notice stopped signing firmware 3.0 or 3.0.1 on the iPhone 3GS.

Users of an iPhone 3GS who already have upgraded to firmware 3.1 and for whatever reason want to return to an older version have bad luck. It is even not possible to restore a iPhone 3GS that is running on OS 3.0 or OS 3.0.1, an update to 3.1 is required from that moment.
