Attach modem to computer then restart the computer.. Hint : Always use the same USB outlet for the modem

If that doesnot work then uninstall the software for the modem via control panel : restart computer > attach modem and let it install the dashboard, you may need to remove the modem and replace it for the process to finish.. Be patient as it can take up to 10 mins to install..more info of Opp system would be handy ...
