I need help Unlocking an American phone in Japan
 

Sorry of this is the wrong section :(

I currently live in Japan and am using docomo (for those who know) as my cell phone Service Provider, and I am using a pretty retro cell phone made by Sharp.

But I was looking into changing cell phones to a smartphone. Frankly the smartphones in this country are s**t. And I mean s**t. The iPhone is the only product with decency, and that is American made, plus it can only be used with a provider called SoftBank.

So I had been looking into unlocking an American phone (one of the Palm phones look good at the moment :) )

you must also understand that there is hardly any wifi in this country, so the internet browsing function will be done through docomos provider system. The one I believe I will use is called Biz-Hodai

Its in Japanese, so please ask me if there is any information needed to crack this, cause I need help badly.

So to sum it up, I wanna get an American phone (something like the Palm) and use as many of the functions on the phone as possible, using Biz-hodai as the provider package from Docomo.


So is there anyway to get around this?
