Many free unlock models missing, why? - GSM-Forum

I have come across many older models for unlocking. One of the reasons I re-activated my license was to unlock them with Chimera Tool after reading many posts.

For example I have an old SGH-I467M but there is no unlock option for this model but according to the link below from 2015 it was free. What happened?

We do support unlocking for that device from ADB mode, however if the software version on your device is too new the function won't show up.

What is the exact software version on your device currently?

Too new? It has the original version it was shipped with, 4.4.2 from like 8 years ago and from I understand there was no new security patches for this version. Are you saying this cannot be done with Chimera?

Maybe device is not connected in via adb. I am able to unlock older devices. I did two last week

We developed a method, which should handle it. You can test it if you still have the device. Please let us know it if you are interested.

Dear User,

Sadly the method is not workable. We are checking other workarounds now.
But, we would like to ask you for a little help:

Can you take a screenshot from the Chimera Tool while the phone is connected to the Tool?

The Network Factory reset is added to the SGH-I467M. Normally you have to see it in ADB mode. Of course, the service is free to use (if you have an active license naturally).

Dear Haffrak,

Thank you for the detailed feedback.
As you can see in the pictures we have a few different TABs in the Chimera Tool, namely:
- General
- Network Factory Reset
- Repair
- Backup
- Software repair/ Update

Now each of them contains a different service. In order to unlock the device, you have to click on the Network Factory Reset. You will find the unlock services there.
