Member: 1787203 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 22,837 | Dear User, You do not need to install any drivers, just make sure every Chimera driver is up to date. If you are in Download mode, then it is the wrong mode. Once you testpoint the device, you should see EUB, then after the identify procedure finished Exynos on the left side of Chimera. Maybe the testpoints you are using are wrong, you can even try this. Or if it does not work, we will update our pictures on the website. Best Regards, ChimeraTeam Quote:

Member: 1787241 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | im definitely using the testpoints highlighted in the guide (above camera connector left one of the two sets of three TPs, the two on the right hand side of the three) so far ive actually got one G991B to recognize as EUB but the it said "disconnect and reconnect battery in EUB" and i could never get it in again even when soldering fly wires out to a button for the test point, just cant get them to go in reliably (or at all on the G986Bs even with the alternate TPs suggested above) ive tried dozens of times on three of each unit all fully working, two of which i soldered fly wires to and tinned the tops so i could connect them but nothing, ive tried holding them as i connect, connecting first then doing the tp, connecting them permanently, with battery, without battery, 4 different usb cables, 2 computers, still ive only managed to get that one single flicker of EUB across 3x G986B and 3x G991B, i cant understand how im not getting it to work, ive test pointed hundreds of huaweis etc many times, even dealt with the pain in the *** just at the right time HTC sensation one back in the day so im no stranger to TP |

Member: 1787241 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | watched the videos but still if i do the same thing i just get nothing at all, ive just tried (G991B): connected, battery out, hold test points (a full 30 seconds) = nothing connected, battery out, hold test points, press power button = nothing connected, battery out, repeatedly connect/disconnect test points = nothing same as above but with battery connected and powered off or on connected, powered on, hold test points or spam tap test points = nothing hold test points, connect USB cable = nothing solder test points together permanently, connect = nothing i really dont understand whats going wrong here, theres no reason it shouldnt work, i still havent managed to get even a flicker again |
