Can someone explain to us what DRK is, how it gets damaged, how do we know if our phone needs DRK repair and what phones need this?

Thanks

DRK is a device-unique asymmetric key pair that is signed by Samsung’s root key through an X.509 certificate. This certificate proves that the DRK was produced by Samsung. The DRK is generated at manufacture time in the Samsung factory and is stored on the device encrypted by the DUHK, thus binding it to the device.

What devices have DRK?

Starting with the S6/S6 Edge, S6 Edge plus, Note 5, S7/S7 Edge. I'm sure there are more phones, I've only listed all the major ones and I don't care about all the other little phones that Samsung makes.

Okay, I hope I don't upset anyone. I did a update to my Galaxy S6 and I get "Device does not have DRK (Device Root Key), contact to SW PL. I have read a few descriptions on the DRK. I see you say it is device unique. My question is I have two GS6 one with a good DRK one with issues. Can I take the good DRK and copy it to the one with issues? I am not sure how the issue came about, as I just tried to update.

Thanks for any help in this mater.

I have tried to flash a few different DRK-fix-kernel. They were listed in some other forums stating they would fix the issue. Tried flashing via odin and they all stopped at NAND Write Start. I have not flashed eng soft as none of the other tutorials mentioned this. I will look for the correct eng soft and try that way. I do thank you for your help.
