GCPro Box UART Port Not working

Hi team:

Using Version...1.0.0.0026
Selected Port VCP0 = COM5
Selected Model GT-I5503
Selected Task SAMSUNG READINFO

Searching phone...

No reply on samsung mode.. DIAL *#0*# AND TRY AGAIN...

Phone Not Found Retry Please.
Total Time Take...00:00:12

I been using this box for the past month, UART port works fine. But last few days i noticed that i did not work anymore.

I have to use another BOX's UART port to fix my phones. (Octoplus Box)

Both Com Ports use the same driver.
Driver Provider: FTDI
Driver Date: 1/6/2016
Driver Version: 2.12.12.0

did my box's UART actualy failed/broke? is that common? or could be some settings, or configuration?

If it could be configuration, could anyon e point me to the direction where I should look?

Thanks a million!

I got mine working,

Check the drivers for both the com port and the serial to USB converter, make sure they are the same version.. In mine case it was windows update that messed it up.. I downgraded to back to the 02.18 version and worked perfect

Remember here is a support area.. they can help to check variants in yours ftdi files..
after check driver problem (delete Ftd*.*) then install drivers compatible FTDI Box.-
Use OLD ns Pro BOx Like a Interfaze o talk with your resseller, maybe your Box is damage under Guarranty.-
Compare Shipping and Other Interfaz for UART like altenative ..

Here are some suggestions...

1. In device manager change the uart box com port number to 1 or 2 since those two are automatically reserved port numbers under windows, and they never get overwritten by new usb modem/serial port installations. The biggest problem is when more than one ports shares/overwrites the same com port number. Also, unplug all other boxes and dongles, and only have one plugged in at a time which you're currently working on.

2. There are lots of fake FTDI chip boxes out there, therefore use driver version 2.10.0.0 or lower in order to avoid being disabled.

3. Use this handy little app called Comport Setter on windows to manage which ports are available for enumeration. It lets you reserve certain ports or clear them all to become available during port installation.

Enjoy!
