Na, u need s-off first, have to pay 25 to ninjaroot, then with comand fastboot oem writeimei 35.....

gcpro support qualcomm all generic method and i am sure it work in htc current baseband but no test reports yet.
If you have gcpro enable diag and use qcom tab with NEWQC Method.

Run GCKeyPro Update30 - Pick Model: HTC One M8

Normally sprint models need to dial ##3424#
Other models work via *#*#3424*#*#

but seems at&t blocked such method u can try root base solution via adb terminal

echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/android_usb/android0/f_diag/on
echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/usb_composite/diag/enable

once u have diag port and driver is installed select port.
go to qcom tab
select NEWQC Method.
enter imei
press start.

if you still can't get diag enable then try google or xda developer for more info how to get diag port on such model.
