this is the second LG with the same issue.i get a "service disabled" after direct unlock.what gives?any help will be appreciated

Put a Sprint Sim Card in the phone and turn it on. You will see how srvice disabled will disappear and now it says no service.
Then put a sim card you want to use in the phone and use it.
This is not a GCProkey issue, it is a sprint LG phones issue.

yes thats what i did over and over.still same issue,this is the second phone with the same issue after unlocking.does anyone else have a working solution?

Hello
You can try relock code and verily with sprint unlock once again.
Try with unlock without enable apn and test for few days.

already did everything suggested.still the same,im getting ready to throw this gcpro away smh.3rd phone and same issue

I set the Gsm mode and I get the carrier sign and bars.but wont dial out or receive calls

I don't think it's a GCPro issue, other boxes do the same.
Sprint LG phones are weird... if you can't make/receive calls check if the esn/imei is not blocked by the network.
You can also try to do a security zone repair with some other tools, which usually fixes the "disabled" message.
Another suggestion is to do a ##786# reset which does a full NV restore unlike the recovery one.
Report back on your progress.
