it can easily repaired with xtc vol+ and pwr go to download mode and use direct commands

you have to use sd method as m8 not supported download mode.

For M8 phone no this is not correct. You need to use Bootloader mode. You can use direct command there to S-Off and then imei repair.

M8 doesn't support download mode as far as I know .. does it.

No it does not have download mode but you can go into bootloader mode where you can perform direct commands for S-Off and IMEI repair, CID change and MEID repair. Network unlock requires the use of offline SD card option and selecting simlock in the phone menu in bootloader mode.
