Hello,

You might have tried it already, but try to reboot the phone and repeat the process.

Also you can S-OFF it, which gives you more options and does not require your data to be erased.

Some firmwares have BL unlock turned off, or "OEM unlock" is disabled in developer settings.

As I said - your better option is to S-OFF .

Hello,

Unfortunately we can't be any helpful if you have a problem with Y-cable.
Y-cable can be tricky in most cases, if you have another cable - just try it. In most cases the problem was in faulty Y-cable. Have you ever successfully tried it on another phone?

The s-off worked but bootloader unlock still not working. Problem was with sd card reader not the y cable. Any solution for the bootloader?

It's probably can be done using direct editing of the partition, but in fact you don't need it - since your phone is S-OFF you can flash any custom firmware.

Can I ask why do you insist on the bootloader unlock? There are absolutely no advantages of the bl unlock over S-OFF.
