If you did not have the SHSH of your ipod saved in cydia of the ios version that you want restore you can't do that.

You can downgrade your baseband using fuzzyband but this only works for iPhone 3G with bootloader version 5.08 then unlock it using ultrasn0w.
Else there is no free solution to unlock your iphone 3G...
