It was S-Off running 5.17.720.4 ever since I bought it, but what was weird was that, although I was using a fully-functioning YemenMobile UIM/SIM, my phone always showed "ChinaTelecom" (.1401 firmware) as the network name on lockscreen, notification drawer & about-network section (for Slot1). Also, ChinaTelecom's logo is drawn on the bottom of the back-cover. So how come my phone had .720 software & why? This confused me big time when I tried to flash Lollipop RUU.. My getvar at that time was: Code: version: 0.5 version-bootloader: 2.49.0000 version-baseband: 1.01.32.0423 version-cpld: None version-microp: None version-main: 5.17.720.4 version-misc: PVT SHIP S-OFF imei: ************62 meid: 00000000000000 product: m7cdwg platform: HBOOT-8064 modelid: PN0751*** cidnum: 11111111 partition-layout: Generic security: off build-mode: SHIP boot-mode: FASTBOOT commitno-bootloader: dirty-1f512bb6 hbootpreupdate: 11 gencheckpt: 0 So I then flashed the 7.17.720.6 RUU successfully. Phone was functional (no rebooting) but SIM slots not functioning, imei & baseband & more were gone. I tried the solution suggested in OP for indian phones flashing the Chinese firmware (cuz I believed I was .720), but it didn't work, & I got stuck on a 2.37.720.1 which reboots in less than a min.. I managed my way through for a functioning phone by: Flashing 2.17.1401.1 RUU > Flashing 2.43.1401.1 RUU > Applying 4.21.1401.3-2.43.1401.1 OTA Now I'm on 4.21.1401.3 & software seems functioning (at least not rebooting), but only Slot 2 is working & only a single IMEI is shown in "About" & which is completely different than the IMEI displayed on my current getvar: Code: version: 0.5 version-bootloader: 2.49.0000 version-baseband: 2.03.30.0109 version-cpld: None version-microp: None version-main: 4.21.1401.3 version-misc: PVT SHIP S-OFF imei: ************62 meid: 00000000000000 product: m7cdwg platform: HBOOT-8064 modelid: PN0751*** cidnum: HTCCN702 partition-layout: Generic security: off build-mode: SHIP boot-mode: FASTBOOT commitno-bootloader: dirty-f6d46eca hbootpreupdate: 11 gencheckpt: 0 |

Member: 2495824 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thanks I was actually able to reach that software version through applying 4.21.1 401.3 - 2.43.1 401.1 OTA, then I was able to flash the 5.17. 720.3 firmware, then I restored the 5.17. 720.3 CWM nandroid backup, & the phone worked! Now whats weird is that from all the xx.x.720.x firmwares, only the 5.17. 720.3 seems to identify the SIM / baseband / imei ...etc. Now if you could kindly help me to upgrade to Lollipop, cuz when I flash the 7.17. 720.6 RUU, the OS runs good but with no SIMs / baseband / imei...etc. Whenever the 5.17. 720.3 is flashed, it gets them working, I dunno whats the magic although the firmware. zip contains only imgs of boot, hboot, recovery, rpm, & splash1. nb0 Is it possible to have a .720 Lollipop OS cuz the .1401 has a lot of chinese apps & chinese-related settings? |
