N99i & IMEI? - GSM-Forum

strange problem with a chines nokia N99i
at first phone was having a restarting problem , after make a full backup of firmware , i have format it,and rewrite IMEI then all works fine (pinout inside phone)
when i turn on phone next time i got problem with IMEI (135.....)
so i rewrite it back and reconnect it with software and it says ok
now i turn phone on again and same thing IMEI (135...)
where is the problem???????

i'm reply again problems n95 monoblock writing imei and 24 hours restart phone i see imei show 1357..... thanks explain and information...

There may be a hardware problem. The IMEI sector on your phone may be corrupted and therefore cannot be rewritten.
Have you tried to change IMEI this way:

P.S. I have already asked you to be attentive and use the last version - 7.2 (!!!) And you are using old version 6.1 - that is why you face problems!
