It solves: a) BSI problem (add the value of 2,7 or 5.1 to the actual resistor inside the cable) b) Low power problem (using a standard usb charger you can give up to 1 ampere to the mobile ) important when you have not a self powered usb hub or you are using a laptop. Valid solution as well (Using an UFC cable connecting only GND and VPP to the battery connector) to give power to the mobile during an USB flash. BR Alex |

Advantages: -BSI has more Resistor Options (switches) -PSU 5vDC is connected to the USB Power Cable -7/8pin and 10 pin cables supported Good Schematic by the way, u can add the above mentioned then u get a complete TMA Adaptor only with Low Quality Cables. Good Luck |

Member: 947561 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 14,053 | Never seen the tma adaptor in my life :-) As well not always the usb port has power enough, expecially using laptops, to power up mobiles like N95, 5800 or N96 and this is the reason of a lot of failures in the unlock procedure. The scheme is free to be mofied using RJ 48 connectors instead. BR Alex |

Member: 947561 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 14,053 | Had a look to the TMA adaptor.. The TMA adaptor is only increasing the value of the BSI.. nothing about the LOW power problem.. I remember now the tool and I didn't buy it just for this reason. The LOW power problem is the biggest working on mobiles like 6300, 6500, 5800, N95 or N96 where most boxes or usb ports fail to give the proper current to the mobile in restarting it and the job goes in error. As well those mobile are the cause of problem on the boxes stressing over limit the power regulator ic. 10 K resistor added I think is useless considering all the commercial cables, today, have at least 5.1 Kohm BSI value.. so 0, 2.7 and 5.1 are enough. Anyway free GPG to get the IDEA and make new version of the TMA adaptor.. I think there is space enough in the actual one to add a micro rele or an electronic one and a socket for an external power supply. There is the market for a tool like this one made in high quality standards. BR Alex |

When you work on bb5 mobiles the TX2 adaptor disconnect the external vpp and use the pin as TX2 (Here the name TX2 adaptor) so is unused on BB5. As well won't sort out the problems with those cables who have the wrong BSI resistor. I think I don't need to say this solution is for all those boxes using cables in standard Cyclone or UFS BR Alex

He just didn't get why I put the rele in the schematic.. without the rele the mobile won't start when needed (the boxes cut off the VPP to the battery to restart it.. if it is always under power this won't happen) .. About the resistors we can add all the value we like or put a trimmer 10 Kohm to be safe :-) Guys.. the idea i put here for everybody... feel fre to use it. Actually I'm on the prototipe n.2.. giving the tool a nice case ;-) BR Alex
